Cary Learning offers support in the development of a variety of education plans tailored to meet your child’s needs.  These plans can be developed in conjunction with diagnostic assessments, or based on information provided to Cary Learning.  The following education plans are available:

•   Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
•   Homework Coaching Plans
•   Personalized Education Plans (PEPs)
•   504 Plans

With the implementation of the Common Core curriculum in North Carolina, additional stress has been placed on families and children.  Educational plans can be developed so that children can better understand how to successfully perform under the new curriculum requirements. At Cary Learning, you and your child will be working with staff who have experience in the development and implementation of all educational plans.

Once a child’s strengths and needs are noted, a Homework Coaching Plan can be developed to best support the child in the academic environment.  If you have found yourself struggling to help your child have the motivation to complete homework, finished homework is not turned in, or your child’s homework is frequently completed incorrectly or incompletely, a Homework Coaching Plan could help both you and your child.

Personalized Education Plans (PEPs) can be developed to support students who are struggling to maintain grade-level performance, but are not part of the formal special education process.  Some children have medical needs in which they may require accommodations that could be implemented through a 504 Plan as well.  These plans target individual needs so that students can achieve success in the Common Core curriculum.  Positive collaboration with a child’s school is essential so that specific needs are targeted and growth can be documented.

Advice and drafting of individualized IEPs is also available at Cary Learning.  These plans are drafted in conjunction with diagnostic assessment results, regardless of where the assessments have been completed.  Cary Learning offers years of experience in the full special education process and in the development of IEPs.  Support in revising existing IEPs is also available.  Working collaboratively with your child’s school, Cary Learning can guide you through the entire special education process.
